The kids at J.L. Jordan Elementary School received a $2,000 grant on Monday morning, to go towards their Arts program from the S’Cool Life Fund, an funding program from the Yum group, owners of K.F.C., Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Company representative Virginia Cournueya, manager of K.F.C. in Carleton Place presented teacher Mark Whitton and principle Paul Mantha with the cheque. The money will go towards clay, oil painting, wire sculptures, candles and water colors. The S’Cool program has given over $330,000 to different school programs in 2010 and $1.8 Million since 2005.
