See fire prevention displays on Saturday

PRESCOTT – Volunteer firefighters from the Prescott and Augusta departments will be spreading the  fire safety message at three locations on Saturday.Displays will be set up at Canadian Tire, Giant Tiger and Mac`s on King Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to meet the local firefighters, check out fire vehicles and receive fire prevention materials. The Brockville and Area Community Foundation (BACF) held their annual gala the Brockville Country Club on Saturday evening with just under one hundred attendees and raised approximately $20,000 with some numbers still being calculated.  The BACF has contributed over $420,000 to local charities, community projects and non-profit organizations as well as an additional $200,000 in donations through the foundation for specific initiatives like Project Encore and the Court House Fountain.  The fo READ MORE
