On the 23rd of November 2010, City Police responded to a disturbance at 22 Church Street in Brockville. As a result three males were arrested for various offences. Ian Ballantyne 28 yrs of Brockville was charged with 5 counts of breaching an officer in charge undertaking and held for bail. A 26 year-old and 40 year-old male were also arrested for bail violations and released on conditions. No injuries were reported in the disturbance.

Police attended to assist the Brockville Fire Department at the scene of a small fire on Water Street. No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished very quickly by responding fire officials.

Police surrounded a King Street location in order to arrest Robert Aaron STUBER (27). STUBER was wanted on numerous charges which stemmed from an incident in May 2010. The charges include choking, multiple assaults and breaching release conditions. Officers had attended the area earlier in the day and STUBER fled. The Brockville Police appreciate the patience of the downtown merchants while the arrest was made.

Members of the Brockville Police VIPP team and the Safe Community Coalition have been going to door to door in order to curb the trend of theft from vehicles. Members of the community are being reminded to lock their vehicles and ensure there are no valuables in the car. Provincially this type of crime is on the increase and in order to prevent it we are asking people to lock their cars. When you park your car lock the doors!

A male suspect was chased form a parked motor vehicle on the 28th of November 2010 at 4 am. A neighbour had observed the male going through the vehicle and when yelled at the male fled. Police responded to the area, however, the suspect was not located.

Several cars were ransacked during the weekend in the area of Brock Street, Pearl Street West, Manor Drive, Sussex Place, Chaffey Street and the area surrounding Toniata School.

On the 27th of November 2010 0330 hrs the Brockville Police responded to Bayview Drive and arrested a 23 year old male from Brockville. The male had property in his possession from numerous thefts in the area. He is charged with several counts of theft, trespass by night, mischief and breach of undertaking. The investigation continues.
